Today, we had our first touch of wintery mix weather here in Northwest Arkansas.  It's early for us to have such cold and icy/snowy weather but while I'm snuggled up in my cozy sweater, I thought I would share a look at the Fall touches we added to our bedroom this year.  We carried the same theme of mustard yellow, cream and grays throughout the house with some touches of greenery.

Lately I've been thinking a lot about season's changing and how that translates right now to my own life.  You may have noticed it's been a few months since I've posted any decor or home updates on the blog.  I'm here to tell you that the reasons for that are hard to talk about and although I hate to admit it, life has kinda kicked my booty lately.

Changes can be hard, but I'm...

It's always a good morning when you have a coffee in hand, am I right? Even if your not a coffee addict like me, maybe you enjoy a hot cup of tea in the morning?  There's just something really relaxing to me about a hot beverage when I first wake up.  I know it's my 30 minutes of calm before I am up and running around all day, so I enjoy those moments of tranquility.  It's my "me" time in the day...

I've always loved French Country design and when we decided to update our master bedroom that is the design style that fit.  We have been doing a lot of updating in our home lately and every room has a cohesive look now, with the exception of my daughter's room, which you saw last week.  Most of the house is a neutral palette that includes light grey walls, cream trim, and ivory and black furnishi...

How to put the "Fun" into functional for the best kid's rooms

We talk mostly about designing main living spaces and DIY projects on the blog, but today I want to visit with you about a love of mine, and that is designing kids spaces.  Once upon a time...I really wanted to go into the business of interior design for children's bedrooms.  I never explored this dream because the truth is, I was terrif...

Last week, we talked about updating our living room and making small inexpensive changes to freshen a space.  I've found over the years, that you don't have to spend a lot of money to get a fresh new look.  As a family, we spend most of our time in the living room and so this is the area that I chose to update.  I added new pillows, a new rug and a lamp.  I spent about $220 all together and the sp...

It's been a busy year so far with some home projects.  Every year at this time, I always get inspired to change a few things in the house, wether it's clean and organize, change furniture around or just add a few touches of green for the winter.  This year, I did an update in the living room with new pillows, a new rug and some DIY Fern wall art that I created to freshen up the space....

Tis' the Season for all good things,

including hot chocolate and yummy sweet treats!  Every year we do a hot chocolate, cookie and dessert bar and this year we decided to make cupcakes and a beverage bar for coffee, cocoa and teas!  I found the most awesome black chalkboard cupcake liners at Home Goods! I mean, where have these been all my life?  ;)  If you have been following the blog this season...

Living Area Home Tour 2018

This year's Christmas theme is pretty simple and we couldn't be happier about it!  You see, this has been a pretty crazy few months at the Booth household in terms of so much going on.  We have spent a large part of the last few months helping to narrow down college choices for my daughter, who is a senior in high school, filling out applications and getting her prepared...

Dining Room Home Tour

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!Every year I try to do a different decor from the one before and this year was no different, except I knew I wanted to keep it simple.  This year's theme started out with inspiration from one item I found in the Hearth and Hand collection at Target.  I knew when I found the cream napkins with frayed edges and black deer horn garland...
