It's Beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!
A tribute to Silver & Gold

I know it's not Thanksgiving yet, even though it is just day's away now! But I have spent all week getting ready for the Holiday Open House event for my space at Daisies and Olives Antique Mall.
It sure did put me in the Christmas spirit!
Normally, I wait to decorate until around December 1st, but this year I started my Christmas prep early due to the Holiday Open House and Customer Appreciation day today. It sure has been fun making "Christmas"y things. I decided to go with a reindeer, silver, and gold theme for my decorations. I did add some touches of traditional red and green here and there too.
Speaking of traditional! Do you guys know or remember the Christmas cartoon show "Rudolph for Red Nosed Reindeer"? One of my favorite songs from it is Burl Ives singing...."Silver and Gold"! If you do know this catchy tune, hopefully it will be stuck with you all day! Hehee! I seriously sang it everytime I would start a new project! Although, I just know those few words so I would repeat those few lyrics and the tune over and over! :)
Here is a look at the shop in it's bling! I hope you enjoy the theme and the theme song! Of course, feel free to hum along as you look at these pics!

This hand painted chalkboard sign is one of my favorite quotes from the movie "Elf". We watch it even when it's not Chistmas season. LOL!
My mom in law made these darling stockings and reindeer pillows for the shop! I love hand made quality things, which is probably why I am also addicted to Etsy!

Aren't these great!
She is a very talented lady, and she makes me look good in the shop! :)
Here is a wide picture of my space at the antique shop!

Next, I get to decorate my house! I will have a few elf helper's for that one! I'm super excited to spend this holiday with friends and family. I am especially looking forward to having some time with my son, who is coming home from college next Tuesday. I will get to see him for 5 whole days! Yay!
I hope your Thanksgiving 2014 is wonderful!
Thank you for sharing in my little world. I would love to hear about a favorite tradition that your family has for the holiday season!
Until next time, remember......
"Everyday is a good day to be Thankful"!
Happy Thanksgiving!
