Autumn Bedroom~Fall Home Tour 2019

Today, we had our first touch of wintery mix weather here in Northwest Arkansas. It's early for us to have such cold and icy/snowy weather but while I'm snuggled up in my cozy sweater, I thought I would share a look at the Fall touches we added to our bedroom this year. We carried the same theme of mustard yellow, cream and grays throughout the house with some touches of greenery.

I decorated with this magnolia wreath over our headboard and added mustard color pillows and a throw to bring warmth into the room. This is one of my favorite fall colors which reminds me of the beautiful color of the leaves. Anytime I can bring the outdoors inside it's a bonus! I'm hanging on to my fall decor at least another week, so I will share a few pics of my living room fall decor before we change it all for Christmas. Since Thanksgiving is so late in November, I believe we will go ahead and decorate for Christmas for our gathering. I'm excited about our Christmas theme this year and I believe it will still fit perfectly for Thanksgiving too. I'm going to keep it a secret for now, but I will be revealing it soon! Let's just say, Thanksgiving will be a little fancier and whimsical this year!

In the master bedroom, I changed my comforter to this ivory linen duvet from Hearth & Hand by Magnolia. I love the weight of it and used my soft gray velvet comforter at the foot for an accent and an extra cover for the chilly weather. Did I mention how much I love blankets and throws? I know I have too many, but.....I had to buy just one more!

It's been awhile since I shared a look of our massive dresser and hutch. Did you know that these two pieces were found separately at antique stores and I painted and distressed them to match? It's one of my favorite pieces now. When I took this pic, I realized how cluttered the hutch has become and could probably use a little more organization and styling but for now, it's on my list! :)

This room is very much a hodge podge of furniture but I've tried to make it cohesive in style at least. I built this headboard about 4 years ago and I'm growing a little tired of the tan linen so it may also be due for a refresh after the holidays as well.

Do I have fellow readers out there? This is one of my favorite reading spots! I often read on my iPad these days, which you can see here on the night stand with my favorite gray felt and leather case that my daughter bought me. It's one of my favorite things along with my planter that reads "laugh"; because life is just better with it! I never thought I would switch to reading on an electronic device but it's become habit now, although I do still relish the feel of a good book in my hand and a nice cozy spot to curl up for a few hours (or a day). :) Do you like to read on a device or would you rather have a book?

The holiday season is great for a few days of reading and I am definitely looking for- ward to it. In the meantime, on my list of reveals in the next few weeks, is a large build project for the holidays that I can't wait to share with you all!

The excitement of the season, always get me motivated to decorate and make the very best memories for my family! It's really why I do what I do and I'm so very thankful for them and all the joys they bring everyday of the year! I'm hoping you have the most joyous rest of this Fall season!

Until next time.....

Blessings!!!

Leasa
